The singer likens one who fails to learn from other people’s mistakes as a pupil who fails an Example in class.
In Proverbs 21:11, the Bible says, “When a mocker is punished, the simple gain wisdom; by paying attention to the wise they get knowledge.”. This verse essentially states that when someone else makes a mistake and faces consequences, those who are wise can learn from it and avoid making the same error themselves.
